This horrible, obvious summary of Dirty Girls was written by me. I warn you this is not pretty, not vague and not in the King's english. Please ask before taking. ;)

w h a t h a p p e n e d - The episode began with a Potential Slayer being chased through what looks like the woods by The Bringers. The girl managed to outrun them until she came to a nearly deserted road, just in time to flag down a truck driven by a Preacher named Caleb. She thought she was saved when Caleb gave her a ride. He spoke softly and had an innocent smile as they chatted in the car and he tried to calm her down, only to burn her with the car's cigarette lighter and stab her in the gut. He told her to give a message to Buffy, and tossed her out of his truck onto the road in front of Willow's car.

Willow was on her way home from L.A., where she'd helped Angel and co. put Angelus back in his bottle. She was bringing Faith back to Sunnydale when the Potential was thrown from Caleb's moving truck. She and Faith took the girl to the hospital, where Faith learned there was something/someone killing Slayers and nobody let her in on it. She became defensive and left the hospital to blow off some steam with an old fashioned slaying.

While patrolling in a cemetery, for the first time in her own skin, Faith came upon Spike who was chasing down a vampire. Thinking the vampire was an innocent girl, Faith proceeded to beat the living snot out of Spike until Buffy got between them. They took her back to the Summers home, where she got an unwelcoming glare from Dawn and Giles, though was informed that Giles attitude was based on tension between Buffy, Giles and Spike.

Meanwhile, Caleb is hold up in a vinyard with The First Evil who's taken Buffy's form. Through their conversation the audience found out that Caleb was responsible for the destruction of the Council and the organization of The Bringers. We also get a glimpse into his background as a preacher.

Back in the Summers kitchen, Andrew explained Faith's history to some of the Potential Slayers. He didn't leave any of the big things out, but acidentally replaced Faith's murder of a Volcanologist with that of a Vulcan (Star Trek), only to have The Potentials correct him.

The next day ( presumeably ), Buffy headed in to Robin Wood's office to see how he was doing. She caught him up on the situation with The First and, because she was needed elsewhere, fired her from her position as student counscellor.

In the meantime, back at the Summers home, Faith stole a moment for herself by heading downstairs into the basement for a cigarette where she, once again, met up with Spike. They had a chat that seemed to be exposition for the audience, letting them know once and for all that these two parallel characters had changed for the better. This discussion turns into what looks like heavy flirting, but is broken up by Buffy who'd come home early.

Later Buffy and Willow had a visit with Shannon, the Potential Slayer who'd been attacked by Caleb and the Bringers earlier in the episode, in the hospital. Shannon told them what happened, and showed them the burn on her neck. She relayed Caleb's message to Buffy, "I have something of yours." Buffy headed back to the house immediately to tell the others.

From Dirty Girls: "We've got a new player in town. Dresses like a preacher. Calls himself Caleb. Looks like he's working for the First. He's taunting us, calling us out. Says he's got something of mine. Could be another girl, could be something else. Don't know, don't care. I'm tired of talking. I'm tired of training. He's got something of mine? Fine. I'm getting it back, and you guys are coming with me."

Caleb and The First Evil passed the time in The Vinyard where The First had changed form to let Caleb relive his past murders.

Back in the Summer's home, Buffy decided to take do some nosing around and figure out where Caleb is. Giles and others triued to her that she's walking right into Caleb's trap. Regardless of their warnings Buffy, accompanied by Faith, headed out. They came upon a Bringer who seemed to be leading them to Caleb's vinyard. They headed back to the Summers house just in time to hear the end of Xander's Buffy-praising speech to the Potentials. Buffy started prepping the girls for the fight.

I'd tell you more, but that might ruin the experience. ;)
